Half Moon Bay: 330 Main Street, Suite 203

From Highway 92….

  • Turn onto Main Street at the light (Shell Station) and head into town.
  • Cross the short bridge and you will see Zaballa Square on the right.   It is across the street from Half Moon Bay Feed & Fuel (whose sign says it is theBest Place in Town to Pick Up Chicks which is true since they sell chicks to many customers who want to raise them as an unlimited source of eggs and maybe a fricassee or two).  Park anywhere on Main Street or you can go around the block and park on any side street.
  • As you face Zaballa Square on Main Street, Suite 203 is on the second floor on the left-hand side of the square.  Walk to the rear of the square and you will see stairs and a sign that leads to the second floor walkway.  203 is the third door on the right after the stairs.

Hwy 1 from the south….

Take the road that leads into Half Moon Bay (slight right off HWY 1 just before the firehouse) and proceed down Main Street until you see Cunha General store on the left.  Look for parking space and proceed as above to Zaballa Square.  Follow the Directions (above)  to my office.

First Appointment (What to bring)

Student:
•    GPA and any PSAT, SAT or ACT test scores (An unofficial high school transcript would be helpful)
•    Some ideas about what college attributes would work for the student
•    Possible career choices and things like favorite school subjects (if any)
•    Outside interests and talents.

Parents:
•    A copy of the most recent 1040 (which will be returned at the end of the meeting)
•    A rough idea of the net worth of non-retirement assets
•   Other issues that may have either a positive or negative impact on the ability to pay for college.  (Divorce or separation, illness, special needs children or adults, etc.)

Note:  Students should not come to meetings about how to pay for college.  Parents may attend meetings about college selection and admission but be prepared to exit gracefully if any subject comes up that may require matters that the student may not want to share in the presence of a parent.
